Auction Item Preview #5
“Hale Maluhia on Kauai (that’s in Hawaii)”

Hale Maluhia: peaceful, restful place. Built on a verdant bluff on Kauai’s north shore (where South Pacific was filmed), with the legendary peak of Bali Hai on the horizon, Princeville has captured the island’s grandeur. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Princeville, the home is surrounded by tropical landscaping providing incomparable privacy. Hale Maluhia (2467 sq. ft.) was completely remodeled in 2004 to provide spacious, flowing living quarters. Redecorated in 2007, the furniture is comfortable and all tables, dressers and dining chairs are teak. Princeville was named the Best Golf Resort in Hawaii by Travel and Leisure magazine. The Makai course, one of Hawaii’s finest 27 hole layouts, is a scant 50 yards from this beautiful location. Imagine walking 110 yards from your 550 sq.ft. lanai to the #9 tee box on the magnificent Makai/Woods course. Come and unwind, de-stress, relax and enjoy our tropical paradise. Complimentary stay for one week. Sleeps six guests (airfare not included). More photos here.

Sinatra recorded Blue Hawaii for his Come Fly With Me album, originally released in 1957. The album was Frank’s first collaboration with arranger Billy May and was a departure from some of the darker concept albums of his Capitol years. Come Fly With Me is about traveling the world and swings hard with upbeat tunes like April In Paris, Autumn In New York, Moonlight In Vermont, Chicago, among others.

Darth Vader’s Orchestra?

This is way too cool. Looks like it comes from one of the Lego Star Wars video games. I’ve already sent it to Maestro Wilkins to see if he can pick up any pointers from Maestro Vader.
