Akron Symphony To Close Season With Choral Favorite, Carmina Burana, May 1

Akron—The Akron Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and Chorus, under the shared direction of Maestro Christopher Wilkins and Chorus Director Dr. Hugh Ferguson Floyd will conclude the ASO’s 2010-2011 season with a performance of one of the most popular pieces of the classical music repertoire, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the University of Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall at 8:00 PM. In addition to the near 125-voice chorus, three guest vocalists will perform with the ASO: Lindsay Kesselman, soprano; Robert Frankenberry, tenor; and Daniel Neer, baritone.
