“We plunge into the depths of Romanticism in our upcoming Akron Youth Symphony concert. Embodying everything Romantic, from mystery to the yearning and pining of love to a fully fledged thunderstorm, the Preludes of Franz Liszt opens our program. In the Apollonian first movement of his second symphony, Brahms achieves a seething passion within the perfection of his order and logic. And finally the lighthearted good spirits of Johann Strauss Senior’s quintessentially Viennese Radetzky March. Please join us on February 6 at 3 PM in E.J. Thomas Hall.”
